Quick Update

This past week was the first time we had both golf and bowling league. Tuesday was golf and went pretty well. I was just happy that I was under 9 (the max) on 4 of the 9 holes. Due to a thunderstorm that passed through right before we teed off, the course was soggy, but fun none the less. Coming from Oregon, I am not use to 80 degree weather with rain. It is definitely a different experience.

Thursday was bowling, which went really well. I started off rough with a sub 100 game, but picked it up in the second and third with a 127 and 157. We ended up winning 6 of the 8 points. We have a new team member this season, Rob (my personal trainer), and he seemed to fit right in with the group and enjoy himself (especially after a few beers).

Well, I am going to have to make this one quick, we have a bathroom remodel that needs to get done. We are hoping to have it done before Kathy and Ian arrive (Jun 17), a visit we are really looking forward to.

I will leave you with a picture of the dogs enjoying the warm southern weather. This picture was actually taken a few months ago, but they are outside doing the same thing right now. (There is more grass now though)

It Is That Time of Year Again

You might remember Tom's post last summer titled Reptile Mania. Well the reptiles are out in full force again. Last year was a rat snake, this year it is an Eastern King snake.

Tom saw this guy from the dining room window and we snuck up on him and took a few pictures. Don't worry he is not of the poisonous variety.

In other news I have been dealing with a sick husband AND a dog who is faking sick just to get attention. But we did make it out to the driving range this afternoon to practice. Besides the FOUR blister on my hands, it went pretty well. This Tuesday will be our first golf game for the new league Tom formed. Should be fun!

Our Weekend

Yah, I know, it has been a while, again. According to Ma's comment on the last post, the blog is "brain dead". Miracles do happen though. So here I am with a post.

We have been busy lately, taking advantage of the nice weather and our every-other-three-day-weekends. It will be hard to go back to a normal work schedule when things pick back up. This weekend was only two days, but we packed quite a bit in.

On Saturday, we started bright and early with a chiro appointment at 8:30. Then it was on to the hair dressers for me. I had to cover up the gray. Yes, that is right, I got my grandmother's (Baba) genes, and am going gray at the ripe-old-age of 26.

Tom went to the gym after our chiro appointment and we met back up at the house for a quick lunch and a meeting with the new yard-guy (this is a post in itself, but I will leave that one for Tom). Then we headed out the mall to shop for golf clothes. Darn dress codes anyways.

So, after picking up khaki and navy blue shorts and several polos, I am set. If you had asked me five years ago if I would ever be seen wearing dress shorts and polos, I would have laughed at you. Oh well, it should be fun.

Tom had the evening to himself, while I went to bunco at a co worker's house. I tied for most buncos and most wins, but lost both roll offs. Gray hair, golf, polo shirts, bunco..... man, am I getting old ;-)

Sunday was spent picking up the house, a trip to home-depot to get supplies for the bathroom remodel, and finishing this:

Robyn, my co worker, is expecting her little boy any day now. I was really happy with how the colors turned out in this quilt.

And to finish off the weekend, I am posting on my blog. We have a four day weekend coming up, so who knows, maybe you will hear from me again soon.
